Puerto Rican Art & Crafts

We are proud to offer MADE IN PUERTO RICO art and crafts. There are many, many talented artists and artisans on the Island trying to rescue Puerto Rican culture and heritage through their art. As members of a small community, we look around us for inspiration and ideas.

Our coastal town has a strong fishing industry and we like to reflect that love for the sea in our art. We recycle vintage fishing tackle, floats, old "yolitas" and driftwood for our projects. The Cabo Rojo Lighthouse is also a famous landmark. Our Taino Indian influence is reflected in the petroglifs we incorporate in some of our pieces. As always, our pieces are one-of-a-kind, never mass produced or assembled from manufactured items. Art is not our hobby, it is our livelyhood.

Hand painted on 12 x 12 terra cotta tile. The lighthouse was built by the Spaniards in 1881. It is now a park and museum under the management of US Fish and Wildlife. An incredible place to visit with the MOST BEAUTIFUL beach you will ever see. And the cliffs are amazing!

This sign was hand painted for "Karacol La Cana." If you have been lucky enough to visit, you know this lady makes the best "tostones gigantes" and "empanadillas". It is the last rest area before the "El Faro de Los Morrillos" park. A famous landmark, these ladies have been feeding hungry travelers for almost 30 years.
